What is craniopathy?

Craniopathy is a gentle and effective method which deals with the micro motion of the cranial fault (the skull), its distortions, and ultimately its effect on normal cerebro-spinal fluid flow and the nervous system.

Why an interdisciplinary approach?

Dr. Bae has worked extensively with medical doctors, nurse practitioners, and acupuncturists in the Bay area co-treating patients and specifically in women's health. She is very skilled in treating endometriosis, migraines, menopause, PMS, and pre and post natal care.

"As a medical provider of Women's Health Services at La Clinica de la Raza, I have had the pleasure of co-managing many patients with Helen Bae, Chiropractor. Helen brings with her an innovative approach to health care. Her style is subtle but result oriented . I have been quite impressed with our patients' rapid response to treatment. I therefore regularly refer patients to her for a wide variety of concerns with total confidence in her abilities." ----- Susana Praver, PA-C

The co-treating of patients from the approach of chiropractic with doctors in women's health makes sense considering the relationship of the placement of the spine and the reproductive organs.

Chiropractic/craniopathy addresses pelvic instability. The pelvis is held together by ligaments that stretch and tear during pregnancy or from a trauma (an injury, fall, car accident..etc.) which if not treated appropriately, can lead to severe low back pain and sciatica. When the integrity of the ligament that keeps the sacrum and hip intact is compromised, the sacrum slips to one side, the spine becomes imbalanced, the vertebrae becomes misaligned, and the nerve roots down the entire spine become irritated, effecting NORMAL neurological functions.
